orange drippy stain
over 60s - 6 months ago
ruined the look of my bench. difficult to apply evenly so forms darker colour in places, if you takle the front of the bench first even with great care, when you come to the back stain has dripped into hard to reach places which then dry darker. The worst the really worst maghogany stain i have ever used.

This has an awful bright red colour and is very hard to apply. The problem is it is runny and tend to gather in beads which set hard like gum. The end product is prone to look streaky no matter how hard I tried to even it out. I think it has effectively ruined a chair, Now I have to think what to do with the others. An expensive headache.

This product is now water-based to comply with modern requirements. It is not a patch on the previous solvent-based product of the identical name. It cannot be used over the previous type, as it just runs off. Not much better than coloured water. Waste of money, better with a nice varnish, if you can still get such a thing
