Great once you get the knack

I've noticed I've used this a lot over the last few years and it makes one helluva improvement to old and tired furniture or furniture that has the appearance of wood but isn't the style you are after anymore.
I completely recovered a wood effect chest of drawers and now they look like I've gone mad in IKEA.......but only cost me the price of two rolls (£12.00).
I will mention that it has taken me a while to fully get the knack of applying this product and preparation is essential. Make sure that the surface you are covering has been washed and scrubbed and it is sometimes necessary to scrape the surface to remove unseen bumps or blotches. Thoroughly feel the whole surface with your fingers before application.
Also, don't remove all the backing paper straight away. On a large flat surface, lay the section to be applied with the backing still on and then peel back and apply a few inches at one end to make sure you have the alignment correct. Then using a soft squeegee or a tea towel (my preferred choice) slowly pull away the backing at the same time as offering the film to your surface. I've found it's best to keep as much backing paper on as possible as this helps to eliminate creases and folds.
