This is a Single Press RETRACTIVE switch and does exactly what it should do.
It fits my purposes perfectly - it operates a relay on a timing circuit.
People are scoring it with 1* because they failed to read or understand the description.
Its a good price for a reasonable product, but it's not perfect as it is not completely waterproof and water penetrated the casing after a couple of years. It is mounted with the cable entry downwards so I can see no reason for this.
This meant the switch would fail to operate the circuit 9 times out of 10.
Even disassembly and cleaning failed to restore perfect operation.
Fix that and it would be very good

Dont waste your time and money. Wrong description for this product.
Good item, wrongly described

The item itself is perfectly fine but it is NOT a switch, the purpose for which I bought it.
Do Not Buy!

I bought three of these "switches", drilled, rawlplugged, fixed, and wired them into our outdoor lighting system only to find they are not switches at all! Two operated as a "push button", the lights only coming on with the switch held down and one wouldn't switch off. Nowhere on the boxing or in the instruction sheet is there any indication the the unit is other than a conventional switch. The whole Diall range appears suspect, as a junction box purchased contained no internals (ie terminal blocks) and leaked, and an external socket has a flap that is difficult and painful on the fingers to open and close and is of a rather cheap looking plastic.
Very Poor Description

As other have said, this is not a switch but a push button.
When you buy it the description is clearly for switch and not a push.
Its going back for a refund, wish I could claim for the 30 mile round trip and wasted time
