Not really vintage style

I bought these to fit inside a copper wire lampshade, hoping that they would look like vintage squirrel cage bulbs. They didn't, unfortunately - too similar to conventional bulbs in shape, and too bright to look out without a conventional lampshade. That said, they are quite good value if you regard them as regular LED light bulbs. I've left them up and sent the trendy copper shades back.

Been using these bulbs for a few weeks now, so pleased and smug with myself that I bought them! They are very bright - comparable to 60w incandescent bulb IMO, lovely warm glow, and look attractive as well, which is good if your lampshade is open and you can see the bulb. I really love the fact that they only use 4w of electricity, quite amazing!!
Better than Compact Fluorescent lamps

We used to have four x 12W and 4 x 15W compact fluorescents in a large ceiling fitting. Using 8 of these 4 W lamps seems just as bright and there's no delay to get to full brightness. Better light distribution in the small shades too. Seems to be a slight red tint compared to other 2700K LED lamps, better than the yellowy compact fluorescents though. Don't know about longevity yet

I love these bulbs. The colour of light they produce is just like incandescent but they only use a few watts. Amazing.
