Did what it was supposed to for a few months, but slowly came apart inside and 'flickered'. Light output dropped to only a fraction of that originally produced, so it got tossed into landfill site. Huge waste of money and environmental resources.

Uses much less energy than a standard R80 spot light. But still nice and bright. Takes a few seconds to reach full brightness, but I don't find this a problem.

This is an expensive alternative to the standard bulb but given the claimed extra hours of service it will provide at a lower wattage I was happy to pay the extra. The light it provides is a nice bright white light although like many energy saving bulbs does not fully light instantly. Unfortunately after 1 month and about 50 hours of use it no longer works. As a result I cannot recommend this product to anyone. Regrettably I did not retain the packaging or receipt so am unlikely to get a refund. My advice to anyone who does wish to purchase would be to retain these as if you are unlucky like me you will be returning it.
