What a terrible product....the smell that comes off penetrates the food...its worth investing in a decent product.....1 star...purely because it caught fire

We’ve been barbecuing for over 30 years and using this stuff successfully for the last seven or so. I bought two bags last month in readiness for this summer’s barbecues. So far we’ve had two attempts, both ending with the food going under the grill/oven of the kitchen cooker. The charcoal comprises tiny shards which won’t light properly or give off enough heat for cooking. Such a waste of time and money and so disappointing! Will be returning to store!

Really irritated by this product. Not only was it in a totally unnecessary plastic woven bag, which I didn't notice when I put it in the trolley, but the 'lumps' were more like fragments, the largest of which was no bigger than a plum in size. It did burn and we did barbeque, but I won't buy it again.

Bought this lumpwood as normal, always been very good previous years but this time very disappointed very large pieces struggled to light and get going had to use full box of lighters and still some of the big peces didn't get going.
Not fit for purpose

Such small pieces that they fall through the holes if you are using a smoker. For traditional barbecue they do not hold the heat well at all. I'm not sure 'lump' is a phrase that applies to this. Definitely would never buy again!
