Very bad instructions

Not recommended. Did manage to fit after a LOT of tweaking. It can be done but I not if you follow the instructions which are very simplified leading to a bad fit. To fit mines properly I had to scrape off the sticky self adhesive strip off the back of the excluder as it was getting in the way and peeling off bits of paint from my door and leaving a visible sticky mess. If you leave it on you can still see the red tape covering it after the excluder has been fitted which is unsightly. A simple thing like a draught excluder should be a 10 minute job at the most but this diall number was a frustrating nightmare. If you go by the instructions and draw a line at the top of the bar to fit the metal fixings it means the excluder doesn’t even touch the floor at this level. I had to lower the fixings to achieve a better fit. This has been a bad experience and now I have to repair the paint work on my door. It is also not clear from the instructions which way up the fixings are supposed to be screwed into the door so it was trial and error. Overall I would say far too much time spent faffing about over a draught excluder that wasn’t exactly cheap to buy.
Absolutely useless item

I wish I'd read the reviews before buying this. I cut it to size then could not work out how to use the fixings. That was when I decided to find out what other buyers had done. On a different site, some people had said that they drilled holes to screw it in because the fittings were so bad. Why should we have to? Why are you selling something that doesn't work, B&Q? I want my money back.....

Wish I had seen the reviews before hand. The fixings simply don’t work and it has adhesive so it’s impossible to put the fixings in place and then slide on when it has adhesive. I would like Handy Andy to show me how it’s done!
Poor quality fittings

I agree with the other reviews on this product - the fittings are useless. So annoying that B&Q sell such things. No complain about the price. I had to drill holes in the aluminium in order to fit the excluder. The screws provided were also of poor quality and stripped requiring me to drill them out to get them removed.
