Poor fittings and instructions

Bought one of these today and wished I’d read the reviews first. Fittings really let this down Took well over an hour to fit — four screws for heavens sake. Screw heads gave up the ghost, despite drilling pilot holes.
Good, though poor instructions

Bought and fitted for my brother's front door. Does an excellent job of excluding the draft on their wooden door. The fixing instructions very poor, but easy once you know how it works. Here's how i did it if it helps.
1.) cut to length first with a hacksaw to match width of door
2.) stand in position with door closed and draw a pencil mark along the top edge in 4 locations for the fixings
3.) hold top edge of fixing (screw hole at bottom) a couple of millimetres below the pencil mark and fix only 2 supports at ends first
4.) bend the top receiving 'hook' away from the door slightly so you can hang the draft excluder without engaging the sticky strip
5.) dry fit without removing tape strip and check for position. If there is a gap below and draft coming through, just realign the fixings slightly lower by moving to the side and down from the first hole (all will be hidden behind the strip), adding the other 2 fixings as well.
6.) once checked and aligned, remove the strip and hang by pushing down into the hooks first, then pushing back against the door to engage the sticky strip.
All done.
