I bought this floor 2 years ago, it looked fab. But couple of months later it started to show blisters/bubbles along some joints. 2 years it is all over the place. There is no water contact/spillage and it occurs in most peculiar places. B&Q refuses to investigate possible manufacturing fault although there seem to be a lot of similar cases. It is very difficult to keep clean and shiny.

Poor quality

The flooring looks great but the click lock is very poor. It is coming away on a few of the planks so when you walk on it, it dips down as it is no longer connected to the next plank. Previous floor was down for 11 years with no issues at all. It looks good quality as the planks are thick but the connections are so poor.

Great quality and easy to fit

I was a little sceptical when I bought this floor as it was priced at the lower end but seemed to look good on the display. I'm really pleased I chose it. Great quality and finish and the price made it very reasonable, easy to put together has made the bedroom look amazing. Highly recommended.

Beautiful looking floor - does chip easily

Actually had this flooring laid in the open plan areas AND KITCHEN of our previous house. I loved it - it looks so warming and inviting and everyone commented on how lovely it was when they came in the house. Does have a more yellow tone to it but works well with white and rich colours.

My parents had it first and rarely clean it and you can't even tell. The only time I could see the scuff marks was in the hallway which had full sunlight on it and at certain angles you could see trainer marks etc due to the glossy top coat. But the pattern meant it doesn't show up general dust/muck very easily.

Issues:-

We did find that a couple of the boards after being laid had strange bubbled marks on the edges. Most likely from fitting errors and hitting them too hard together.

It chips very easily - as others have mentioned. Drop anything on it and the gloss top does not appreciate it. It is easily to fill in with the repair kits though. Saying that, dropping a metal carving knife onto it which stuck in the floor would cause chips in any floor I imagine.

Water - difficult one really as it seems lots of people had issues with this but we never encountered it. Fitted our flooring about 3 years ago though so perhaps they have changed the manufacturer? - Had it in our kitchen and in the dining area which had bi-folds and a back door so were open to constant splashes and water and I never had any bubbling or water issues to be fair. I didn't ever leave water sat in pools on it but did mop it down and the dogs would drink their water and drip all over it so again, I'm wondering if it's an issue with a new manufacturer.

If you want it to be waterproof though you generally have to coat the edges of the laminate in pva to stop the water from seeping through under the floor. I've been told that's the only way to make any laminate completely waterproof (even ones suitable for wet areas!)

So I was going to buy more of this and have it in some of our downstairs bedrooms but I'm dubious now as to the quality and if it's the same as our last ones.

Four years later it still looks fab!

I am looking at buying new flooring for a bedroom. I so wish this one came in different colours/wood type. I have the walnut finish in my lounge and hallway and is still beautiful after 4 years. I need an oak finish to match bedroom furniture.
