Product Information

This Orange fizz gloss wood & metal paint has been specially designed to give a durable and long-lasting finish on a range of surfaces. Simply apply 2 coats with a brush and leave for 6 hours to dry - a great way to give the surfaces additional protection. Covers 16 m² per litre on average.

    Features and Benefits

At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

    • Self-undercoating, wipeable and non-yellowing
    • Thanks to its Quick Dry, low odour formulation, it is both convenient and pleasant to use
    • Control air pollutants by choosing products with lower solvent levels.

i brought this paint in the hope it would do the job in two coats. sorry to say don't hold your breath it dosent. perhaps four coats might do it. it is really not a good product. dulux seem to have forgotten what paint is supposed to do. I wont be buying more dulux products if I ever get this project completed. as others have said it not a true gloss its not a good coverer. my advise don't buy it.

This is, without doubt, the worst paint I have ever had the misfortune to use. It fails to deliver on almost any basis it is possible to judge a paint. It's most significant failing is the fact that it is not, nowhere near, opaque. It could best be described as thick orange varnish. Two coats in and it looks like i have color washed a canvas in preparation for painting a sunset in the style of Turner. Another fundamental flaw is the laughable claim that it is "gloss", "high sheen" even, it has no gloss whatsoever. A more accurate description would be satin, although, frankly, that is flattering it.

I was using it to paint a small boat that will form the roof of a playhouse for my children and I now dread showing it to them, I fear tears of disappointment and a growing feeling in the hearts of my previously adoring offspring that their daddy doesn't really care about them, given the miserable standard of his painting on the roof of their playhouse.

Fiz? i think the tin i got had gone flat

I bought this to paint a small machine which was already orange but needed a freshen up, the paint did not cover well and the metal would show through causing dark patches,as if the paint is translucent, it took a lot of coats to get an even colour. Maybe it's better suited to wood. I painted it in the garage and to my amazement the paint was still wet the next day, i was very dissapointed, i took the machine outside into the sun and it dried very quickly in fact in the sun it dried so fast i barely had time to get another coat on before it started dragging. Dulux have a good reputation and expected a better product. Pity Hammerite don't do orange.
