Features and benefits

Dulux Matt is a smooth and creamy emulsion paint for use on walls and ceilings which is ideal for a modern, flat finish. At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

  • Control air pollutants by choosing products with lower solvent levels

After reading the negative comments in the reviews I was a bit apprehensive about buying this but took a chance after a colleague whose partner is a painter recommended it. I have to say I'm really pleased I did. The paint is thick and creamy but went on no problem with a roller after giving the tin a good mix. I would describe it as white, off white or dull white but it really comes down to the lighting in the room. As it was in the living room I gave it two coats to get that soft white finish and because the paint is thick it is easy to cut in around the edges. A bit more expensive than shops own versions but worth the money for the better quality finish.

I have no idea why this paint has bad reviews! I've painted every room in my house this colour and I absolutely adore it! Makes the rooms look to clean and fresh, it took two coats to cover the horrible magnolia left behind - which isn't bad at all! I really recommend!

I've been a decorator for over 27 years and dulux seems to be getting worse by the month, my customer has just bought this in magnolia to paint over a very light pink, it's had 3 coats and still not cover properly, I'm absolutely fuming this is costing time and money for the customer and myself, unfortunately this is not the only product from dulux that has it's issues it's most of their products, do not use if you want to save time and money. I wouldn't even give it 1 star

Nice colour but poor covering capability

Purchased Dulux as I thought it was the best and loved Timeless colour. HOWEVER, I am just about to apply my 4th coat on a magnolia wall. Disappointed in coverage ability and also additional cost and labour to get it right !

Nice colour, patchy finish

I bought this paint to brighten up the small spare bedroom. The whole house was magnolia and I wish I’d just bought a magnolia to freshen up. The colour is lovely and the paint is quite thick but it just will not cover the magnolia.
