Features and Benefits

At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

Terrible. Patchy finish, and the colour once dry looked nothing like the picture on the paint tins, nor on any of the official sale photos. It came out an unpleasant vinegary dark drab/olive colour. It was used on a sanded/primed metal garage door, using standard brushes in mild dry weather. Perhaps it was a bad batch, but in that case it was an expensive quality control failure, as I had to cover up the dingy dark green with several coats of a different brand of paint. Suffice it to say, I will not be using this product again!

I bought this for my wooden garage doors, i painted it on over white and was pleasantly surprised it only needed one coat so I only used one tin. It is a thick paint with good opacity, dries very quickly and this glade green colour is timeless and classy. I definitely recommend this paint and will buy it again.

Good value for money

Used this paint on garden wooden table and metal stand for umbrella. Wood definitely needs to be treated afterwards with something additional. I applied two coats and the paint is flaking after 2 months so will need to be redone next spring. The paint is more durable on metal, but make sure you use hammerite as a base coat.
Would I buy it again? Yes

This was used to refinish a garden bench that was previously varnished, but had peeled badly. It was stripped and completely sanded. I was sceptical about how this product would cover, and after one coat I may have been tempted to finish, but I'd been a little bit light in applying the first coat in a few inaccessible spots, so I decided to give the whole thing a second coat. This was also probably a good idea as the bench is located south-facing and gets full sun. The result was perfect.

One point to bear in mind is the coverage is so good because the pigment is dense and the liquid needs to be very well stirred - I used a mixing tool on an electric drill for many minutes to evenly distribute the sediment, which had settled in storage. Otherwise, a great product.

As for how long it will last - the bench is under an overhang, so only time will tell.....
