Features and benefits
Dulux Matt is a smooth and creamy emulsion paint for use on walls and ceilings which is ideal for a modern, flat finish. At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.

It really is blue!

I used White Cotton to paint the entire downstairs of the house around 2 years ago. It was the lightest grey/off white, a lovely linen colour and was perfect for what I wanted.
Moving on to the upstairs, I wanted the same colour throughout. On checking the stock for the paint, I happened to read the reviews, some of which described the paint as having a blue tone.
I thought, impossible and went ahead and bought the paint.
To my horror, it's nothing like the original paint (and I'm sure nothing like it's supposed to be). I know you shouldn't go by the colour on the tin, but in no way does it resemble any kind of blue, it's cream.
It's not even a variation of the shade it was, I could have lived with that. It's a completely different colour. I have lovely warm crisp linen walls on the landing and an awful cold, murky blue bedroom. Disappointment is an understatement!!

This paint has changed and now seems to have a blue tinge to it. Having repainted the kitchen in it we noticed the change of colour, subsequently we have now repainted using Dulux timeless which has a creamier warmer feel to it.
Colour not at label

Label on pot shows a warm white shade, but the actual paint is cold with a blue grey tone.
Complete waste of time and money as the walls do not complement anything in the room.
Will be needing to repaint in a different colour.
It is blue!

Bought this for my bedroom. It is blue, not white! Disappointed and a waste of my time having to go back and repurchase. It would be so much easier if the paint was labelled correctly. This is not white cotton. My wall was white and this is more of a blue grey colour.
The colour has changed - now BLUE?!!

We painted our guest bedroom White Cotton a few years ago and it was the most beautiful shade of off white but with no blue or yellow tones, just perfectly neutral (like farrow and ball!), so we were desperate to paint our master this colour once we decided to decorate. There’s no comparison, this paint has such blue cold undertones! I can see both rooms from my hallway and it’s like looking at two different colours. Such a shame as we’d already bought curtains and a bed to compliment the white cotton thinking we knew the colour so will need to go back to the drawing board and now try and find a colour to match our furnishings. Will be returning (if they’ll let us!)
