Quiet and Efficient

Bought to replace a 12 year-old dehumidifier sold by another retailer. The B&Q website says that it has a Timer function to turn the unit on and off - the instructions state that 'Laundry Mode' can be used to turn the unit OFF after 8hrs (however there is no mention of turning it ON). Description also says "The integrated thermostat has an easy to understand LED display" - which implies temperature control of some sort. There isn't. The LED display consists of LED backlights that illuminate a rotating fan icon (indicating high or low fan speed), an indicator for 'Smart Contol' (high or low setting), a 'MAX' indicator for 'Laundry Mode' which will flash if the 8hr timer is activated and a 'Water Container Full' light.
Better than expected
DTAY - 11 months ago
Had this for a year now, better than i expected it to be, seems well built and the reservoir tank is better than some others I've seen, a bit like a plastic watering can without the spout.
We use it in a largish 4 bed Victorian house, moving it from upstairs to down and vice versa occasionally. It appears to have solved all of the usual damp and mould in the corners and rarely get any condensation on the windows anymore.
I empty the tank (in winter) approximately once every 2-3 days so not sure about the claim of 12litres per day, suppose it would have to be a very wet room for that.
It doesn't appear to impact my electricity bill much unlike some oil radiators we used to use.
We are definitely going to get another one this year to save on moving the thing around so much.
Would i recommend it? Yes absolutely
