Way too fragile for everyday use. The battery connectors in the handset become detached after the slightest knock. Tried contacting the manufacturers who offered to sell me a replacement handset but said i would have to wait as none in stock. Called back 2 months later. Fobbed off with the same story. Still waiting. Save your money guys. Rubbish.
Perfect if you have a dog in the garden!!

Does exactly what is says on the box. Transmitter has mains power with battery back-up, which is perfect to fit and forget. Useful cordless receiver means you can take the Intercom into whichever room you are in. Very pleased with this unit and very pleased with the picture and sound quality and ease of use & installation.
Terrible don't buy

I am not happy with this product. The bell is too loud and can be heard down the street and the echo goes on forever unless you find the phone piece and turn it off. After three weeks of it I'm getting rid of it.
Handy for my disabled wife

I am quite pleased with this product as it enables my disabled wife to see who is at the front door and speak with them. We don't have a suitable door lock etc to enable the door to be unlocked; this could be a useful feature. It is quite simple to operate but the symbols on the handset are not very clear if you eyesight is not too good, I have added some coloured dots to help. It does work without power to the external unit but I have recently connected it as removing and charging the battery is a bit of a pain; also this means you can wake up the outdoor unit from indoors and just look outside without someone pressing the call button. When the button is pushed outside there is a rather loud call tone outside which echoes around the street; I think it would be better if this could be turned down. The battery in the handset easily lasts for a couple of days but we stand it in the charger over night. Another useful feature is you can see if anyone called whilst you were out; you can a photo of them if they stand in the right place at the right time. The wireless range is not too good through walls etc and it only works in certain places in my back garden. All in all a good unit, a bit pricey but very useful for us.
