Specially formulated to nourish and support all types of acers, Empathy After Plant provides essential nutrients for strong, vibrant growth and beautiful foliage all year round. During the crucial first year, soil-grown acers benefit greatly from regular feeding as their root systems and beneficial fungal partners establish. How to Use Garden-grown acers: Apply 1–2 handfuls (25–50g) around the base of the plant. Lightly work into the soil and water thoroughly. For larger, established plants, use 2 handfuls per square metre beneath the canopy. Container-grown acers and topiary: Apply 2–3 handfuls per plant twice a year. Once annually, remove 5–10cm (2–4 inches) of old compost from the top of the pot and replace with fresh compost. Mix in 1–2 handfuls of AFTER PLANT ACERS during this process to maintain peak plant health. When to Apply: Spring: At the first signs of new growth. Summer: As needed to maintain lush foliage. Autumn: As a top dressing before winter. Note: AFTER PLANT ACERS is not a substitute for rootgrow™ at the time of planting. For new plantings or poor soil conditions, apply pure rootgrow™ mycorrhizal fungi directly to the roots for optimal establishment.
