CrayfordDIY - 10 months ago

I've been building my own workshop (from the ground up) and started buying Erbauer so I could have the range. My old mitre saw broke mid-job, so I treated myself to the sliding mitre saw, which was a great upgrade. Due to the pandemic, I couldn't get the larger ones, but found that the 210 was actually more than enough for my needs. It's pretty accurate right out of the box and you can adjust the important settings to refine it even more for more precise cuts. I have a small shop vac, which when used with this saw greatly reduces dust and debris. It's also easy to clean and set up, adjust and use. The laser is good and gives you a pretty accurate cut line, so no need to mark the entire work piece. The depth stop is also very useful, I just made myself a longer set square by cutting a rebate for the longer piece, it's very accurate. And great for the money!

I bought this a the first one I ordered online didn't come as advertised. This one is truly great though.
Pros:
Great 40T wood blade comes with it, cuts surprisingly smoothly with none to very little blowout even on small pieces.
Easy to use, I.e. making changes to the bevel and mitre its extremely easy and the blade chop movement is very nice, sturdy but smooth.
Folds and locks down for storage.
Two carry handles make it very easy to pick up and man/women handle into the shed/garage.
Bevel up to 45 degrees left and right (hence double bevel)
Mitres both left and right.
Can be used left to right handed due to two blade cover release buttons.
Smooth sliding motion.
Great stability, due to wide leg spread and front spring leg.
Mine came set up nice and true, I know people complain about even the best saws not always being true square from the box.
Torch and laser nice and bright, with easy to flick switches in good position.
Extension pieces on left and right slide in and out, this just makes it so much easier than the ones you have to screw on each time to use, and screw off to store.
Nice satisfying click when hitting degrees mitre, ensures confidence its locked in even without the lock on.
Cable storage loops for cable management while stored.
It is loud but not the loudest I've heard so this is going in pros.

Cons:
Heavy compared to some others
The clamp you get with it isn't the best, it has a quick release button, so if you tighten something too tight it jumps the link and is loose. Also with the clamp, if the piece of wood is quite big, tightening the clamp is hard as it just slides out of its hole rather than locking in.
If you put the duck collection bag on with the weight directly at the bottom it catches on the slide, fixed by just twisting the bag slightly so the weight is at about 160degrees from top rather 180, hanging straight down., haven't had a problem since.
There are spaces for a clamp on the left and right but you only get one, two would be nice.
(Havent changed a disc yet so not sure how easy/hard that is)

Overall for a double bevel saw for £130 when I bought it, it's a steal really.

Hope this is helps someone.

Love it!

Wish I'd bought one of these years ago. Had to build a slated base for a superking bed and this cut all the components in no time. Seen some reviews that criticise the accuracy of the cut but mine is spot on - angles and laser line all calibrated correctly. The price is amazing value. Had it up and running within 5 mins of opening the box. Still haven't looked at the instructions :D Do need a big space in the garage to store it tho!
