Friday afternoon tool

Used the table saw twice and cut too straight cuts with mitre saw.
When it all went wrong. To start the blade was out of alightment, Tried switching back table mode. the retaining bolt holding the the saw down refused to work. Moving the saw around, three screws filled out, switch over power switch stopped working (as it’s connected to the holding bolt). Full movement down now restricted for some reason, so now have a saw which won’t work as a mitre or table saw, and I can’t get it in the box to return it!
Pile of junk

This is a great little bit of kit I bought it to have a compact table saw and mitre saw primarily for cutting trim and the like, but have found it useful for so much more.
Now this isn't official advice but what I have done with my saw is immediately removed the blade guard and riving knife (which is redundant on a table saw of this size) which then gave me the option of cutting up to 70mm depth by cutting through and flipping the wood over, I I regularly use it for ripping 2x4 into 2x2s and there is plenty of power behind it for this too.
it's small enough to keep with me at all times and is surprisingly accurate straight out of the box.
All in all this is well worth having in your tool bank and for the low cost you can't really go wrong
Not as described and poor design

Firstly, the stand shown in the product picture is NOT included. I chose this model online specifically because it appeared to be part of the package.
On the plus side, the mitre saw is very usable. However, the table saw design on this is very flawed.
The table itself is so tiny, it offers very little support in any direction to keep the work piece flat. Secondly, the grooves holding the fence mechanism are made from bent sheet - not milled steel - and aren’t square to begin with. Tightening the fence in place causes it to skew. The blade height adjustment offers no precision either.
Unless you really just want to make very rough rip cuts, it’s all pretty useless. Overall, I’m left with an overpriced mitre saw and the feeling I feel I’ve been duped. A real shame.
Great saw - does NOT come with table as shown

Love these saw's so was disappointed to find the table shown is not included with no mention of even where its available to buy on the description. The table saw would be useful too, but the bed size is so small its going to limit its use.
