Not a good product.

This product, although a hard laminate WILL scratch. When delivered, the edging is protected however, the main body of the product has this shrink-wrap plastic, which often has large holes. I have had in the past, items delivered with scratches on one side. The only saving grace is the product is reversible, otherwise, it would have to be returned! I am a bathroom fitter, and have used this product several times, as initially I thought this was a good product, durable, and waterproof. I am no longer going to use this product, as the last item was delivered, and all the edges were very rough, as though the piece was just ripped from a larger piece. When you cut this stuff ( which is hard, and not easy to cut) it has a constant black resin finish, which is acceptable, but the top is laminate, and you must be careful not to split the laminate. At £100 a pop, I would expect this to arrive finished, and ready to install. I complained to B&Q, who told me to call the supplier. I did so, and basically told me that it is supplied as an unfinished product, and it was up to the customer to finish the edging!! EH! Are you joking? £100 and the stuff is unfinished! Informed B&Q about this, who were totally unaware that this was the case. They did say they would take the matter up with the supplier. I wont buy this product, or recommend to my customers’ any longer!
Too blotchy! Looks different to the display one

I was very disappointed with the finish on my piece of worktop fitted by B&Q. It just looks really patchy and stained all over - the one on display had the odd bit of patchiness but ours is horribly patterned with what look like water marks all over it. At first I just thought it was dirty but after wiping it down it just dried looking 'dirty' again! Very overpriced at £100 for such a small piece. Spoils the overall look I think.
