Melcourt Sylvagrow Farmyard: A Natural Soil Enhancer Melcourt Sylvagrow Farmyard is a high-quality, organic soil improver that enhances soil fertility and structure. This peat-free product is derived from natural materials and is ideal for improving the health and vitality of your garden. By applying Farmyard to your garden beds, borders, and around trees and shrubs, you can: Suppress weeds: Create a barrier against weed growth. Add nutrients: Provide essential nutrients to your plants. Improve water retention: Enhance soil moisture retention, reducing the need for frequent watering. It's recommended to apply Farmyard well in advance of the growing season, ideally six months before planting. This allows the organic matter to break down and enrich the soil. Includes organic matter from anaerobic digestate which is a nutrient-rich, liquid and solid material left over after organic matter is broken down in a process called anaerobic digestion. (Known as Melcourt Farmyard Manure or Farm Manure Compost)

• Spread 5–8cms/2–3 inches of SylvaGrow Farmyard on the soil surface having first removed any weeds. It is very effective around established plants but avoid going right up to stems and trunks. Helps to conserve moisture, suppress weeds, gradually feeds the soil and will eventually be incorporated into the soil by earthworms and other soil fauna. The method is also useful for no-dig growing systems.
