Modern Eggshell is Farrow & Ball’s toughest interior finish, adding colour and protection to wood, metal, and concrete surfaces. This ultra-durable eggshell is tough enough for floors, and it can also be used throughout the home on skirting, doors, kitchen cabinets, furniture, and radiators.

- Instructions for Storage - This product is water based and should be protected from frost and extreme temperatures. We recommend using within 6 months of purchase and are unable to accept responsibility for the deterioration of contents or packaging after this date. This product contains preservatives to protect from spoilage under normal conditions. To minimise contamination and provide maximum shelf life we recommend that the product is decanted into a clean paint kettle before use and all tools are thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Repeated opening and use can increase the risk of microbial contamination; therefore we recommend keeping this to a minimum to maximise the shelf life of the product.

100ml test pot
Tester pot gives a good coverage to enable you to really see what the finish is like

Lovely finish on a bookcase
Lovely finish and texture Bought this to upcycle a bookcase (which was too dark) given the wood in the room is already done in this.

Paints well but needed more than two coats
Disappointing that two coats still looked uneven. But it did paint well off the none F&B brushes

Strong white
Beautiful paint. Beautiful colour. I’ve used it everywhere in various finishes. Goes on smooth and even. Great cover and matching. My one criticism is the can. Could be improved for re-sealing. Too much work to keep the can for later use.

Love
I love it! This cool off-white looks great with our marble countertops. For me it has a soothing effect - lots of light reflection but (perhaps because of the blue undertones) it's more calming than cheery. Looks great with our deep gray kitchen island and orange chairs.

Just looking at the Choices of Colors
Right now I’m in the early stages of getting samples of your paint. I won’t be able to tell you how it is completely until I get the job done with your gallons of paint when I order it we’ll still make sure on what color we’re gonna use. Just to let you know, I just ordered two more samples, but we definitely will be ordering off you to try out your product for the first time and I will write out a review if you send me another one when the time comes thank you God bless

Great finish!
Excellent finish after two coats. Nice and calm feeling for the entire bedroom/ceiling. I'm getting used to the flat matt finish over wood, but I have no complaints about the results. I may be wrong, but it seems that the smell lasted longer and that it requires slightly more paint in the first coat than other types (Emulsion/ Modern Eggshell).

Interesting neutral
I used Strong White Dead Flat for the new powder room renovation and it looks amazing with my Swedish wallpaper. It works well with stone and taupe schemes but also feels fresh and inviting when paired with All White. This is my first time using dead flat as I wanted to paint the walls and wood panels with the same product. It worked well and is very matt but without being chalky. I applied with brushes instead of rollers and achieved a nice smooth finish.

A very versatile white, that isn't quite white
I have done a bedroom and a hallway in Strong White. I've found this colour quite similar to white, but it has enough pigment that when put next to a truly white window frame it makes that frame look nice and clean. It isn't at all yellow-ish or beige, which I think is very good. The best descriptor might "chalk", perhaps. The quality of the paint, like other F&B paints, is very good. You can paint it on quite cleanly, and two or occasionally three coats gives a good, solid coverage.
