For the cost of the fire the quality is poor overall.
You have to screw on the brass fixings, and removed covering strip from the edging strips you have to fix yourself.
The customer should not have to part build the fire.
My experience was bad, the fire arrived damaged, I spend two days on and off trying to contact B&Q customers services to no avail.
When I finally got through on the third day after a 25 minute wait no ownership shown to resolve the issue.
I had to contact the manufacture, who took 4 days to despatch replacement parts which again I had to fit.
Also the instructions are vague at best, when the fire is first powered up, the display screen shows no device found it takes 5 minutes before the display operates as expected. No mention of this any where in the documentation so you may think the fire is faulty..

Not used it very much as yet but pleased with it purchased for my 90 year old mother because she is on an oxygen machine we can't have any naked flames like gas fire
Great-looking, realistic fire

Really happy with this purchase. It has several realistic flame display options, as well as more quirky ones eg fish-tank. We needed to use just 1 of the 2 spacers in order to fit the fire, and this meant that the screws supplied were then not the correct size. However with a bit of improvisation the fire was fitted & looks great. Altho fire is a little noisy (fan) we haven't needed to use it for prolonged periods as it soon heats the room up. Overall very happy.

Bought this fire to replace a 20yr old gas fire whilst refurbishing the lounge. The fire was easy to fit (according to my builder !) and looks sleek and modern. The fire programmes are realistic...............although I do find the river scene and the fish tank slightly unusual in a fire !! Even the dogs love the fire and tend to sit in front of it even when we have no heat settings on. Haven't used the heat settings yet as fire was replaced during the summer so am unable to comment on the 'complete package'.

The wife picked this to compliment our fireplace which, until a short time ago, had a gas fire therein. The gas fire has gone due to a boiler replacement and so we wanted something to look really attractive in the actual fireplace. This fire fits the bill - it fills the hearth opening perfectly and the multi screen looks really effective - also complete with sound effects. (It is better than watching some TV channels). The price of £400 may seem a little steep but this price was reduced from £500. Not too sure if I would have bought it at the higher price but, nonetheless, my wife is delighted with it and so I am happy also. Delivery was extremely rapid, the fire arriving just two days after ordering. I do not think we will use the heat at all but if the gas goes off, our lounge will be warm and cosy with the heat from the small fire. So far, I am very happy with this product. One criticism was the instructional booklet could have used some extra illustrations for technical failures such as I.
