Reviews
Love this greenhouse
HalfJobRob - 10 months ago
This is a great looking greenhouse but a pain to put up! As per other reviews there weren't enough screws and the instructions are rubbish but if you're ok at DIY you can work it out. I didn't have any issues removing the plastic from the perspex, just use a Stanley knife around the edges. I painted it black and think it looks really smart.
Not 5x2ft Footprint
Lenz13 - 3 years ago
I bought this greenhouse because I thought it would have a 5x2ft footprint. I don,t have room in my garden for a greenhouse so this has to go on my drive against the side of the house. With a depth of 2ft this would leave 6in clearance if I ever wanted to put my car in the garage. The actual depth of this greenhouse is 2ft-5in, so a problem getting the car past it. Fortunately I don,t usually garage my car so I decided to keep the greenhouse. It is a simple two man job to assemble if you have a level base and a good power drill, some extra 25mm and 60mm screws as some 25mm were missing and the extra larger screws we used to pull some of the sections together as they were slightly bowed. The windows are covered on both sides with a plastic film which makes painting or staining before removal and assembly really easy. I put 3 coats of cuprinol autumn gold stain on ours, looks great. A great little greenhouse but needs FULL dimensions stating as I found on an other website, H1960mmxW1470mmxD740mm
This looks great

Have just finished putting this up (and we decided to paint it - it took quite a few coats!) and it looks great. We only have a small garden so it's perfect and it makes a really nice feature.
Looks great but a few niggles

I have been looking for an attractive greenhouse with these dimensions for around 4 years. Others do exist but they are so expensive - almost twice as much as this greenhouse. So I was really pleased when I found this. When it comes to sheds and greenhouses you really do get what you pay for. This is very reasonably priced... so I was not expecting perfectly fitting panels or each piece lining up perfectly with the next. Good job really, because they didn't! We do have some rather large gaps between panels (which we will solve by covering with strips of wood) and the instructions on hanging the doors were awful. (It took us as long to hang the doors as build the rest of it!) But to me these are just niggles that we can resolve. I like it and my plants are happy... tomatoes have flowers already.
Poor quality, expected a better product.

On construction of the greenhouse I noted that some of the preassembled battens were not in the correct positions for the top shelving to be fitted properly. The overall finish is very rough and required a lot of sanding down to bring it into a basic finish good enough for staining. Even if I hadn't been staining it, I would have sanded it down as my children would have acquired many splinters!
I expected a more 'finished' product for the £350.
1 week after finishing assembly, the window battens are already bowing.
