Beehive Composter 288 Litre Wooden Garden Compost Bin with Lid and Hatch Chinese Fir Compost Bin UK This beehive composter is a 288 litre wooden compost bin for home and garden composting. It is designed for kitchen scraps, garden clippings and plant waste, helping you produce compost for beds and borders. The beehive shape fits neatly into outdoor spaces while supporting ongoing composting through the year. Beehive composter use Use this beehive composter for food waste such as vegetable peelings, fruit skins and coffee grounds alongside garden cuttings. The enclosed structure helps retain warmth and moisture, supporting breakdown. Suitable for gardens and allotments with regular composting needs. Beehive composter design Made from Chinese fir timber with a felt covered lid to help limit excess rain entering the compost. The slatted sides allow airflow while keeping contents contained. This balance of air and moisture supports steady composting across different seasons. Beehive composter access The hinged lid allows easy loading of fresh material from the top. A lower hatch provides access to finished compost without disturbing newer waste. This supports continuous composting and easier removal when compost is ready to use. Beehive composter capacity With a 288 litre capacity, this compost bin suits medium to large households. It provides space for regular garden waste while remaining compact enough for smaller areas. Flat packed delivery allows straightforward assembly using basic tools. Beehive composter maintenance Optional tools such as a compost aerator can help improve airflow within the pile. A compost accelerator can also support faster breakdown of organic material. These additions can help manage compost more efficiently during active use.
