The "Metal Plate" which has been used to make repairs to Cabinets without consideration for the change in hinge dimensions, location in the carcass or, the different qualities of MDF, Chip/Particleboard used by different manufacturers. &nbsp;Other solutions, are supplied with the cheapest Wood Screws to fix the plate and the hinge on to the cabinet carcass. However… Wood Screws are tapered and have an aggressive thread that rips into the carcass causing further damage on installation.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Most cabinet manufacturers now use Concealed Hinges as a better engineered solution with Cabinet Screws.
