I was looking at engineered hardwood for my bedroom when I came across bamboo. Having done some research I found out that is a sustainable flooring as the plant continues to grow after harvesting - about 7 years per harvest. I’d also read woven bamboo is stronger than oak. Loved the rich but not dark colour of this product. My carpenter said it was lovely to work with and there was very little waste. The end result is stunning. As there was so little wastage I’ve got enough left over to do my landing!
Also I’d seen online an experiment where someone had stuck bamboo flooring water to see how it would fair so I tried the same with an off it. Left it in bucket of water for an hour and then let it dry naturally. The piece is still as flat as it was being soaked and I’ve now stuck felt pads on the bottom and turned it into a coaster :)
