Waste of money

I brought these gates and they have come away at joints. iv had them fixed around 3 times and have caused me nothing but grief! The gates have warped and come out of joint ..had to be 're set at least 3 times and had to be screwed at the joints as towels came out , total waste of money ..do not buy unless you want a high maintenance job of fixing all the time.
Not as well made as the picture suggests!

This is a budget product. Don't expect quality joinery or top quality timber and you will not be disappointed. At under £60 it IS value for money, but definitely a "No frills" item. Worth buying a strip of 10 X 20 softwood to infil the obvious rot point where the vertical bars sit at the top of the solid section as the gaps left would trap rainwater if left open. Also needs a lot of painting and finishing to get to a decent finish - but for this price what do people expect?
Not great joins

I was going to buy one of these gates but I noticed that the joints into the side posts are very poor and untidy. I looked at several of them but they were all the same. In addition, they were not sanded well along the top so there was a risk of splinters. Needless to say I changed my mind and left empty handed.
Really poor quality

Ordered for delivery and on arrival was incredibly warped and bowed (out by about 2 inches!). The slats fell out as they'd been cut too short and were just hanging from a pin and gaps on every joint. Feels like it could snap at any moment. One of the worst items I have ever bought.
Good solid construction

Pleased with quality of this product but had to dry the gate out for 2 weeks before painting as wood very wet.
