Not as described
Streaky, not matt, more like a silk finish. Goes on thick like tar, hopeless finish.

Best for the job
I’ve used this to paint all my garden furniture, what a difference! So much better coverage than the spray, and went a lot further than what I thought

Did what it was suppose to
We used it for our outside gate for the drive and it worked really well didn't need a second coat or anything.

Good initially but flakes in places.
Very easy to paint on and looks very good to begin with; however, small sections have begun flaking after around a year after application.

Opposite of Ronseal!
Does not do what it says on the tin. Does not work without primer. Still not great after abrasion and two coats of primer! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Rust appeared within months
I bought Ultima for a brand new metal pergola summer 2022, cleaned the metal work with thinners and applied 2 coats as per the instructions. Looked great and no primer necessary. Sadly by January 2023 rust spotting had occurred on all surfaces that were exposed to rain. Hammerite have advised applying another 3 coats in warmer weather of a Delux oil-based product over a rust inhibiting primer. Vouchers offered as recompense, thank you. But we won't get that weekend back!

Great product for metal roof
I bought this to cover a very scruffy looking roof of a bay window. The product covered all the imperfections really well & the roof now looks a uniform colour. It covered the uneven surface very well. It is very thick when you are applying it, but dries quickly.
