My garage is ruined. What a waste of time sanding it all down to apply this paint. I need to strip it all off and start again. Obviously with a different paint. Not happy one bit (don’t buy)
NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING

Bought to repaint an existing white metal garage door. Was very disappointed. Painting directly onto (prepared) existing paint, as recommended, produced a strange translucent custard effect. Decided to try using Hammerite primer - which turns out to be red - and then repaint. Top coat now looks like slightly dirty varnish, with red showing through strongly. Not fit for purpose.

Very thin paint, you will need to protect drive etc from splashing.
Will need several coats, used Hammerite primer which turned out to be red. Needless to say white hardly touched the colour. Will use the remainder on next coat but will definitely not buy it again.
Great feature, did what is says on the tin

It would have been good not to have to buy a second tin to complete the job. A very expensive second tin with a little out of it in the garage, not on the door. Wouldn't be enough for a second coat.
