Corrugated nails are used to securely join parallel boards or mitred joints, and can be used to create re-enforced joints in timber that's at risk of splitting if a nail is used. The grooved piece of metal features a sharp edge on one side that cuts into the wood when driven home. Corrugated fasteners can be galvanised for exterior use.
