I bought this yesterday & 30 mins later it was in the bin. The rollers don’t turn properly so you have to press really hard which makes the paint go everywhere. You still need a brush to cut in as if you go to the edge it puts paint all over the other wall/ceiling. it doesn’t cover well either. This probably goes down as the worst product I’ve ever purchased!

I recently purchased this Harris Paint Pad Set and some spare pads from B&Q in Huddersfield. Upon opening the set I noticed that part of the rim on the small roller tray was broken off or had not been manufactured correctly. The rollers for each tray were in two halves and had to be assembled. The construction was very poor and the pivots on the rollers would not engage correctly with the support lugs in the trays, the large tray roller constantly dropped down and rubbed on the tray base making it impossible to spin. The small tray roller was stiff on its pivot lugs. It was impossible to remove the handles from both pad holders in order to use an extension pole. I took the whole lot back to B&Q for a refund. A decorating section staff member could not remove the handles either. Don’t buy this very poorly-made product.

    Absolute toot!
Nightmare to apply paint on the pad as the loading wheel stops moving if too much paint in the reservoir and removing excess paint mostly runs down the outside.
Threw in the bin after 10mins of persevering with it .... save your money with this one.
Have used another brands version but couldn’t get that one so thought I’d try this one, this is no ronseal

Why dosn't take note of design problem

The pots are far to small to run the pad across the roller. The piece to remove drips is to low and the pad catches the outer edge so paint runs down the outside ( I persisted and used a roasting tray out of a cooker for the paint) I was replacing a cheaper pad I had bought a few years ago and have gone back to that one as it covers blown paper much easier. The bristles are shorter and soft. To load the larger pad it has to be run across the roller which has to have the exact amount of paint or the roller wont turn, on an extension pole. The person who did the design ought to try it.
