Best thing about this was the robust packaging! Apart from that, stopped rotating whilst drilling out a plastic water butt, no use at all! Was going to use on wooden decking but no chance now! Why do B & Q stock such inferior tat! I should have checked the reviews first, I would have steered well clear!

Very cheap and unfortunately the quality is as expected. I tried to use these three times on plaster board and kept on realising itself from the fixing. Honestly I wish they had a 56mm that was 4 times the price and i would have bought that instead. Used a knife in the end

I did not heed the warnings, used twice and the metal around the screw that holds the bit in place has already failed rendering it useless. Even when new the drill bit would slip in the holder so the cutting blade would just jam and not cut anything. B&Q I would suggest not even stocking this; cheap and cheerful is one thing and then there is just cheap bits of rubbish like this that are a waste of materials.

Bought to drill hole in kitchen unit, to thread washing machine waste pipe through. Did the job easily.
But you need a pair of plyers to safely grip the saw teeth to remove them from the tool, and then reinsert the one you want. Tip drill a pilot hole with a smaller drill than the one supplied to start off. Then use the hole cutter.

Doesn’t do a very good job at sawing holes

I honestly don’t know why this deserves the name holesaw. It doesn’t like sawing holes!!! I tried to saw a hole in 22mm thick timber with my Makita drill and failed miserably. I will have no option but to buy more expensive ones for my use and it is very annoying to have to spend loads more money when I already have spent some on these! Appalling!
