Johnstone's Trade Acrylic Durable Eggshell is a premium-quality, low VOC, mid-sheen coating ideal for all high-traffic areas, trusted by professional decorators and DIYers. Tested to meet Class 1 ISO 11998 for scrub resistance, it provides an extremely tough, stain-resistant finish that is resistant to condensation and regular cleaning, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, schools, hospitals, food production areas and public buildings. The mould-resistant formulation and low odour, quick drying finish deliver exceptional performance in demanding environments. Covering up to 16m² per litre depending on surface texture and porosity, it offers solid performance on walls, wood, metal and plaster. Touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 3-4 hours, so you can complete your project efficiently. With an ultra-low VOC content, it's a kinder choice for occupied rooms. Works on interior walls, wood, metal and plaster surfaces. This product is made to order to your specifications, and cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged. Screen colour displays may vary – it's advisable to order a tester (available in Johnstone's Trade Covaplus Vinyl Matt) before deciding on a final colour.

• Surface Preparation - Apply all products in accordance with BS 6150: Code of practice for painting of buildings. All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. Prime certain bare surfaces with the appropriate Johnstone's Trade Primer. Rub down previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly before applying a pre-coat of Johnstone's Trade Joncryl Water Based Primer Undercoat. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960's paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
• Instructions for Use - Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Do not breathe spray. Wear respiratory protection. Stir well. Easy to apply with brush, roller and spray both conventional and airless. Seal all absorbent surfaces with a coat of Johnstone's Trade Acrylic Durable Eggshell thinned by up to 10% with clean water. If more than one can of a colour is to be used in the same area, intermix prior to use. Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C. Additional coats may be required with certain colours, or attempting a wide colour change. Conventional Spray: compatible with most equipment. Airless Spray: Un-thinned @ 2000 psi/207 bar with 517 tip.
• Instructions for Storage - Store upright in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area between 5°C and 35°C (41–95°F), away from direct sunlight, food and drink, and incompatible materials (oxidising agents, strong acids and alkalis). Protect from frost and lift with care. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use; reseal opened containers carefully and keep upright to prevent leakage. Keep out of reach of children.
