Follow all instructions and warnings on the use of this respirator and wear during all times of exposure. Failure to do so will reduce respirator effectiveness, wearer protection and may result in sickness or death

JSP respirators, when properly fi tted and used as part of a comprehensive respiratory protection programme, may reduce wearer exposure to some airborne hazards, but not all

Check with your supervisor for the appropriate fi lter/cartridges for the contaminants in your work area

This respirator must be fi t tested. If you cannot obtain a proper fi t, do not use the respirator and do not enter the risk area. Fit check your respirator each time before you enter and periodically while wearing the respirator in the contaminated area

Do not remove the mask from the face until you have left the contaminated area

It is unlikely that the requirements for leakage will be achieved if facial hair passes under the face seal. Gaps in the face seal due to facial hair or jewellery could result in the wearer breathing contaminants which may result in sickness or death

Ensure that any other PPE worn does not interfere with the fi tting of the respirator

Immediately leave work area and change the respirator and/or fi lter/cartridge if breathing becomes diffi cult, dizziness or other distress occurs, respirator is damaged, or you sense irritation, smell or taste contaminates in the work area. As required by European Health and Safety requirements the user is advised that when in contact with the wearers skin, susceptible individuals may experience an allergic reaction, if this is the case, the wearer should leave the hazard area, remove the respirator and seek medical advice.
