Terrible design
Obviously designed without practicality or quality. Firstly don’t buy this light to replace a pendant light because the wiring of this unit is at the end, so you’ll have to move or extend the cable. I had to cut a channel along the ceiling and extend the cable by a metre. And to make things worse the bare wire is always poking out the end, so you have to try and minimise the impact of the holes you make, just to get a wire into position. So there is always a visible hole with a wire sticking out of it. And to accommodate the type of kink you have to put into the wire to get it the right angle, the hole needs to be fairly generous. Secondly the housing doesn’t give enough room to accommodate thick mains wires, so doesn’t shut flush. The fixing clips that hold it to the ceiling are very narrow and soft, so barely span across the channel you may need to cut chasing the wire down the length of the light. So you have to do so much work to put this light up. And if you can’t do it yourself, book a plaster and an electrician, because there will be awkward wiring. The build quality reminds me of kinder surprise. To sum up, this light is only suitable for a workshop with exposed wiring, not interiors. Don’t try putting this in your kitchen!
