Buy a premium tool instead

Bought last week and used handful of times. Once "locked" in position there is still too much movement in the saw so that the angle (or squareness) of the cut can easily vary. Bought as a cheap saw but now looking to sell secondhand online and replace with more robust/premium brand. Do yourself a favour and skip that step and go straight to a premium tool unless you just want rough approximate cuts.

I bought this saw as my larger more expensive one wouldn't cut 18mm hard wood ply cleanly even with a brand new manufactures blade fitted although it is supposed to be able cut steel too.
With a good quality 60 tooth blade fitted (I fitted this as I wanted a clean smooth line on the ply wood) this saw cut the timber perfectly without any trouble, the laser guide was bang on the line. Using the blade supplied with the saw was also more than adequate for cutting the other timbers for my project it didn't struggle at all and gave a good clean cut.
This might be at the cheaper end of the of the market but it is excellent value in my opinion.
It may not be built quite as well as the much more expensive top end brands but if you only need a good saw for occasional diy use then I wouldn't look any further.
Doesn’t cut straight properly

Iv you flip over or reverse your cuts will be uneven. Unfortunately This was a big disappointment. This app doesn’t let me upload pictures to show you the results of this saw.

Bought this item as my battery circular saw keeps jamming when between 1-2 bar on the battery I have to admit it handles everything I have thrown at it highly recommend the Mcallister range

For the price i wasn’t really expecting much but just needed something cheap for a couple of projects. Well that was a year ago and it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it with ease. The disk is a bit fiddly to fit, but once up and running it’s become a staple part of my diy tool kit. I’m struggling really to see what parting with more cash would give me in terms of benefits. The laser is handy and calibrated correctly and the guide rails are useful too.
