Not the best design

This vice is a nice solid vice but is not the most practical of designs. The fixe back jaw is not far enough forward, so this mean if you want to work on anything vertically you would need to use packers which isn’t always ideal

Bought this a while ago but not yet installed and quality seems great. Only complaint was there are no fixings to screw the plate to the bench and no instructions advising what size bolts are needed. Both boxes were open when i bought it so whether they were taken out by someone but it will just mean i have to try and work out the bolt size which won't be difficult to do.

Due to mounting design you cannot clamp things vertically over edge of bench

The vice can't be mounted so that the jaws line up with the bench edge only inboard, thus long parts will foul the bench. Mounting holes in wrong place.
Vice feels rough and requires some effort to turn the handle, roughness and tightness will decrees the power of the jaws.
Has lots of sharp edges and corners
Also paint flaking off a few places.
good value, sturdy manufacture.
