I bought this as we wanted to plant some shrubs but had old wall concrete footings which had to be removed and this made light work of them

Lack of spares
Garyt455 - 1 year ago
Purchased today haven't used it yet it looks impressive but , and here's the downer you can't buy replacement chisels or points from b&q ? Went onto mac allister web site and they claim they make tools exclusively for b&q, so why don't b&q sell the spares ? Emailed b&q customer services and apparently I have to contact another stockist to get them. It's for this reason I have only given it 2 stars it may do the job but lack of spares is poor. B&q buyers need to buck up their ideas.
Did the job brilliantly

I was a bit sceptical about the power of an electric breaker but was very pleasantly surprised. It took out my broken concrete fence post with relative ease and did the job well. I thoroughly recommend this breaker for anyone doing DIY work at home but for more heavy duty work over a longer period I suggest something a bit more powerful.
Really good Tool!

This is a really good breaker. I used it to break out a concrete spur for a fence post and dig in a new one in a different place. Access was limited behind a shed, so I couldn't swing a sledge hammer in there. This went through a layer of sand and cement under flag stones and then broke down the concrete lump around the spur.
The tools that come with it are quality and the motor is powerful. It is very easy to use. This is the second Mcallister tool I have bought and they are always quite powerful and solid. I cant compare it with any other breaker as it is the only one I have used but it is more than capable of breaking down concrete around a garden.
