This Mac Allister Solo 18V cordless combi drill & impact driver kit makes light work of home improvement tasks for ultimate flexibility. Combi drill includes 21 torque settings, drill and hammer for great versatility. Also includes keyless chuck and 2 speeds for different tasks. Light but powerful
I had 2 other Macallister battery operated hand tools so sticking with the same brand made sense. Just completed my first few DIY jobs with this drill/driver at my daughters house and needed all of its functions. Drilled multiple holes in masonry walls with the hammer action and found the torque, power, battery life were great. Very light tool when working at the top of a ladder and the hook for attaching it to my belt was great.

Great diy tools
Great little set even for the advanced diy’er.ive had mac allister stuff in the past and to be honest they’ve never let me down. Reason for buying? The charger for my previous drill gave up and the price of a new charger was extortionate so thought I’d treat myself to a Mac allister set

Good VFM
Bought these as I needed an impact driver and a 2nd cordless drill is always handy plus interchangeable batteries is a bonus. Just a shame that my existing MacAllister cordless has a different battery.

Too fast
I find this is too fast and has no slow setting. It rounds the heads off by slipping

MacAllister Solo 18V 2 X 2 Li-Ion Brushed Cordless
Already had the exact same drill but gave to my son when he moved in his new home. Purchased this exact same model as a replacement for myself. 2 batteries, long lasting, perfect for a quick switch of the battery when the 1st one has drained. Drill has never let me down before so i don't expect this replacement will

Cute handy set
Used this set to put up my double curtain pole. On first opening the set looked amazing, loved the pop of blue and they looked sturdy. Fully charged within 30 mins. The drill worked as I expected, powerful enough to drill through my concrete walls without any problems and the drill felt lightweight in my hand. All the usual buttons to go clockwise or anti clockwise and the handle grip felt okay. Came to use the electric screwdriver and this was a different story - when this was switched on/used I could see smalls electrical sparks within the driver itself through the vents, it also 100% did not feel as powerful as the drill. I think the screwdriver may have had an electrical fault so due to the sparks I did not continue to use for safety.
