How to fit ceiling lights
A standard single pendant light fitting near the centre of the ceiling can sometimes leave a lot to be desired. As long as you can get to the ceiling void from above without too much disruption, it's not complicated to move a light to wherever you really need it. Alternatively, you can boost your light levels by adding extra pendants which you operate either by the existing switch or by a new one. You'll find that pre-wired lampholder-plus-flex combinations are widely available.

We now have two!
This is second one we have purchased as we liked the first one so much. Using the recommended bulbs the lamp is fully dimmable but really bright when needed.

Excellent
Very easy to put together. Took 15 minutes from opening the box. Did not read the instructions as it is mostly already assembled. No humming noise when dimmed as other reviewers have experienced. Overall very pleased.

The dirty truth
I did a lot of research in buying this product and discovered something shocking. This product is basically made by a company called endon. They supply this product to a number of very very familiar retailers on the high street which are all on your doorstep. The retailers appear to then sell this item as their own branded product making people think they are buying something exclusive to that company. Eg. B&q sells this item as their own branded product with its own name and own colour. But you can get this exact same product from other retailers also. Cleverly though you will never be able to price match these sorts of items as each retailer puts its own name on the product. Its done across the board with beds, electrical appliances etc. I noticed also that depending on the retailer some offer certain colours only and again give their own name for the colour but again its the same thing. This item is also known as father & child lamp or mother & child lamp but it's exactly the same thing again! Another thing I got duped by was the reviews. Some reviews gave this 1 star and other variants 5 star. How come. People complained bulbs would blow and all sorts. This is nonsense. The mechamics of the 5 star and 1 star product are identical.. just a different colour. People are likely handling the bulbs with their fingers which automatically shortens bulb life immediately. I did not get any bulbs with my lamp purchase. One very vague thing though was exactly what bulb this actually needs. Product description says r7s 117mm. When you do some research and after personal experience all you need is a standard r7s halogen bulb. As I learnt, you do not need to get caught up in 117mm or 118mm.. it's the same thing so please don't only search 117mm thinking that you need some thing special: like me just go to a local shop where I got 2 r7s bulbs 230w for £1.50 and one 33w g9 bulb for £1. Works a treat. The product itself is great. Good finish. It has a heavy black weighted base so its sturdy and not that easy for it to fall over. Dimmer on brightest setting is great and will light up your room extremely well. There is a faint buzzing if light is dimmed but this is normal. Assembly was fine. I'm not sure what was difficult from other reviewers needing 2 people. It was fine on my own. Nothing heavy. Nothing complex. Overall excellent product and I would surely recommend for what I paid(!)

Good Floor Light
We bought this product a year ago. Very difficult to assemble. Looks good in room. Gives off brilliant light which can be dimmed as required. Fit for purpose.

Very good but a pig to build!
Bought this for my parents. instructions not worded but in pictograms. Very hard to assemble, but they are delighted with it now it's done.
