Great at the price
Found this as just the profile I needed for a new installation in the dining room. Was in stock, cut easily in the mitre box. Fixed to wall with 2" tacks. Looks good with 3 coats of dark oak stain. Got a few heavy pictures hanging from it.

Wood supplied not up to required standard
This is a type of wood that is difficult to deal with remotely due to its nature and "tight cut". Despite being "slow grown" and "kiln dried" and not expecting the long thin lengths to be in a perfect shape, and allowing for some loss, the amount of difficulty in using it was high. My handyman wrestled it into shape for my room. A carpenter or joiner may have made a better job of it, or even returned it for replacement.

Great value for money, decent quality
While some lengths might not be perfectly straight, they are flat and not warped. So on mounting them you can easily fix any slight bend. The wood seems good quality and well machined, some minor quick hand sanding in some rougher spots and they give a perfect result. They are definitely the best deal out there. Very happy with the results.

Warped
I luckily purchased more picture rail than I needed as one of the rails was heavily warped and unusable. I think B&Q need to tighten up their quality control!

DOES THE JOB
Bought these to complete the coving in some of my rooms. It is not a perfect match to the more ornate coving already there, but plenty good enough to not notice much in the corners. I found removing an entire wall of the old (to re-use elsewhere) and using a couple of these works well. My only gripe would be that you have to be choosy when selecting them in store as some can be warped. Easy to drill and then wood fill once fitted.
