Poor Quality Control

Ordered 5 packs for a deck project. Opened 3 of the packs to find fault with all the timber, warped and or damaged. Contacted B&Q who were great to start the return and refund.
Look nice, price has doubled!!

Bought 11 packs of these a couple of years ago to go round a raised area from kitchen, now finishing a patio to side and wish to extend the original project with the same kit, was shocked to see that the price of these have doubled since I last purchased them. As I have loads of spindles left over from 1st project I am going to make my own as I can't justify paying double the money for essentially only really needing the top and bottom rails. Agree with other comments about the screws are very soft and heads strip, I have attached mine to metal posts with a welded plate at the bottom for fixing.
Great DIY kit

Good kit for the price. Easy to install and looks more expensive once in place.
The screws supplied to fix the brackets are poor, so I used some of my own with stronger cross heads. A word of warning- the rails are softwood so don't take a coarse saw blade anywhere near them unless you want the edges to splinter. I ended up using a fine hacksaw in the end for a the cleanest cut.
Also, if you intend to split one kit into two or more shorter sections, there are only enough brackets supplied for one.
real nice looking when installed, BUT

Use this alot as a landscape gardening business

I've used this product on many projects as a landscape business and it never disappoints. Iish and is so simple to assemble. The one drawback is that if you accidentally stand on baserail the spindles pop out but if aware of this then the product is fine.
