Far from Precision
I was initially impressed with the apparent value of this product, looks to be well made until you look closer and find that the blade guides are made of cheap plastic, sadly the robust nature of the base is worthless when the vertical alignment is so poor, mine was cutting at 86 degrees instead of 90 on all cuts making the end unusable without lots of sanding

Waste of money
I bought one of these years ago and I have tried and tried to get it work properly. IN VAIN I might add. The wood I have wasted is a disgrace. It is impossible to hold deep skirting firmly and the saw keeps "catching" and the slide system is not smooth. All in all why do Band Q sell this heap of rubbish? I always thought I was to blame but after reading all these reviews I now know I am not alone and more importantly that I'm not the incompetent I thought I was. It's going to the tip!!

Terrible
Doesn't matter how firm the skirting is or how slow you go you end up with a curved cut. Waste of money

Waste of time and money.
Agree with most of the reviews, product is not worth the time or money. It doesn't cut straight vertically through the wood despite tightening the blade as much as possible. Wasted my wood and an entire evening trying to get it to make a decent cut. Have now done a better job by hand. I'm amazed that B&Q would want to put their name to this product. Very disappointed with the product which I have now returned.

Cuts reliably - but crooked!
Bought this to replace one which was starting to wear out. Wish I'd read the reviews! Too much play in the guides allow blade to twist (even when tight) so saw cuts at about 5 degrees from vertical which completely defeats the object of using it. Will be returning it for refund.

Awful saw
Bought this thinking it will be a decent piece of kit. How wrong was I? Does not even cut to the angle you want. Ended up returning it. Waste of time, wood, and energy

Awful, useless, terrible. Returned for refund.
Awful product, cloud to even cut wood straight even after following careful instructions. Useless, do not buy! Returned for refund which they did with no qualms, obviously they get many of these back.

Can anyone recommend a decent alternative?
I can only described this saw as a total waste of money, I can cut more accurately freehand with a tenon saw, so can anyone recommend a decent alternative that cuts straight? I regret not going online and reading the review first as if I had I wouldn't have wasted my money on one. I've attached two photos showing a couple of cuts I made with this saw alongside a carpenter's square and a 90° angle plate which show just how straight it cuts, or does to be precise.
