Screws too short and fiddly terminals

Screw length need not apply if tiles are involved. Look nice enough if your into plain sockets
Put straight in the bin, don't waist your time.

I should have read the reviews first. The Earth screw doesn't stay where it should, it drops down the diagonal and gets trapped. Spent a long time getting it out, only for it to do the same before I managed to tighten wires. Poor design. I got another make at a different store, better design and cheaper.
Still a good manufacturer

I have used several dozen of these over the last couple of years, without any major problems. Some of the screws are a bit stiff at first, but I find that if you loosen them up BEFORE you start trying to wire them, (Making sure the screwdriver is dead square to the screw head, and using the correct size screwdriver), you won't have any problems. I shall no doubt be using many more.

What should have been a 10 minute job took nearly an hour. The cable-retaining bolt heads are recessed down a very tight, dark hole & are virtually impossible to see/get at. The bolt heads themselves were soft & ruined after a couple of attempts at tightening. I was appalled at how poor this product was & was hopping mad. I had to use the brass bolts off the old plate to actually finish the job, as the new ones were scrap after a few minutes. Not very impressed.
Check before you use

I have used dozens of MK sockets and switches over many years without problems. Then finally I had a problem with a backed-out screw which would not move. I returned it to MK who quickly sent 2 new sockets to cover the shipping cost.
Just saw that several reviewers have reported such problems. Looks like a quality control issue, but unless it is reported to MK they will not know the extent of the problems.
