Monsoon Charles - My new Best Cleaning Friend
I bought the numatic Charles for the now ‘mine’ garage/workshop which was long overdue for a declutter and deep clean. This was no mean task as the garage had not been touched since I lost my husband unexpectedly a few years ago. Charles rose to the task and suction, manoeuverability and versatility far exceeded expectations. It is less noisy than expected and hopefully will prove durable in time. 5 Stars for my new ‘best cleaning friend’.

Happy with product
I used a Numatic Charles years ago but had to leave it behind at a previous job. After that, I tried a range of cheaper wet and dry vacs, and none of them came close. As a plumber, I’ve put plenty of vacuums through their paces in tough, messy conditions, and this one stands out. It’s powerful, reliable, and handles both wet and dry work without any fuss. The build quality is on another level compared to budget options, which just don’t hold up over time. Looking back, I should have bought this again much sooner—it would have saved me time, money, and frustration. Easily one of the best wet and dry vacs I’ve used.

Terrible
Same as the other reviewer, Numatic have sacrificed a stellar reputation for a few pennies on the lid retaining clips, bottom just falls off. Totally unfit for purpose, will be returning.

Works well
Bought a month ago for my daughters new house, not heard her say anything bad about it so it must be ok

Disappointed
Bought Charles wet and dry hoover couple of weeks ago and have had issues with motor housing detaching itself from the tub when lifting by the handle. Made sure that it lined up properly but each time would unclip itself and fall off . Had to return item which was a shame as hoover was really powerful. Just looked like a flimsy design compared to the Charles I had years ago. Also B&Q customer services terrible when I booked in for a return and never done Nothing.
