My 3 year old son chose this lamp from store as his bed side lamp. We have usb plug right next the bedside drawer so 50cm cable is not a issue for us. My son love the calming changing colour feature.
Unfortunately the battery life is less than 2 hour

I bought this a a table decoration at our dances. Unfortunately even with a full charge the lamp only lit for under 2 hours
Not worth it

Bought this item as ideal night light but only lasts 2 hours, so needs to be plugged in so really useless being recharged, cable so short, would have been better to have a plug!

We were looking for ambient lighting in the hallway, with no convenient power socket. Noticed this lamp and decided to risk a tenner. It doesn't look much during the day - but certainly does the job in the dark. Well worth the money. Nice warm glow in whatever colour suits you. Short charging lead, but this is not a problem in my case. Charges in about 2 hours from laptop/PC usb or mains tablet charger. No idea yet how long charge lasts, but if it is a problem I will update review. Certainly looks more than a tenner's worth in operation - not bright, but just enough for our requirements. I would say give it a go, especially since B&Q have such an excellent returns policy.

Bought this in store for my sons birthday. My mum had the glass one and the kids loved it so thought it would be good in the boys room. When i got to store i found this 1 instead. And As I bought it in store all I could see was that it had a Usb charger and was plastic. Which I thought with 2 young boys would be better. However I did not realise the cable was so short you can't physically plug it in and on a table unless the plug socket is the same height as table. Also it takes forever to charge and then you only get 2 hours out of it which isn't great as I wanted something for them to have on all night for if they wake in the night. I am now going to be buying the glass egg that plugs into mains properly for £6 more than this 1. This Was a waste of money for me
