    Not a single bird has as much as looked at this feeder, I think it needs a couple of perches, I’ve rated it 5 stars for ease of use, but that’s for me to actually fill it with seed, I think the finches around here would give it a big fat 0

    this feeder is full of nyger seed and have not seen a bird on it in 9 months

    i agree with Gezm but my children don't seem to want to eat out of it.

    I had to train the finches who comevto my garden regularly. I placed the old plastic feeder beside the new one so one finch could turn round and see the seed in the new feeder. I made a perch on the new feeder by threading a twig through the metal clips holding the base in place.

    I have seen the two goldfinches using the perches and today one finch on the barrel of the new feder as it was meant to be used.

    As long as your finches learn to use the feeder it is smat tough and robust.
