Beautiful statement

This light is beautiful on my landing. The 3 brightness settings are great as you can adjust the brightness to suit the time of day. The top setting is very bright and that is what we wanted. The poor reviews are from people who didn't read the box or the instructions.
Stunning centre piece

Really happy with this purchase, wanted something simple but too stand out in dining room. Looks great simple to fit and can alter brightness through flick of your original switch. Really happy no regrets

First In response to the last reviewer who doesnt seem to have read the manual about the light not being bright enough the reviewer doesnt seem aware there are three brightness settings available and if they found it dim then it must be on the lowest setting as it is a very bright light.
also this light doesnt work with a dimmer switch as it clearly indicates on the box but the brightness can be increased or reduced by switching on and off quickly within a s3cond or so and each time you switch on and off it will increase a step in brightness and stay on whatever level its left on at.
On the brightest setting it is much brighter than a 100w bulb, too bright for most but the middle setting is fine its really bright.
Regarding installation, its quite easy with the new connectors, no tiny block screws also I had to pull the hanging wires in to make it higher as it hangs much too low for a normal ceiling height, i went higher than reccomended but no issues with doing that. You might need to adjust wires to get right level and careful not to go too far as the grips seem to go one way so if you raise a wire too much it wont pull back through.
Our light doesnt seem to droop like the picture the shape is much flatter, this might be because its closer to the ceiling. Its a nice unusual light, very bright and no issues so far.
Quite expensive but as a feature in a boring hallway its fine.a
Looks nice but not very bright

I love this light although we bought it with the intention of having a dimmer switch ( after checking it can be used with a dimmer switch). When it was fitted without a dimmer switch as we didn’t have one at the time, it isn’t very bright at all. We have 4 other B&Q LED lights which are all really bright so was shocked/ disappointed this one wasn’t , it isn’t half as bright as the flor lamp we bought with it.
If only people read the instructions ! ! !
Never mind the idiots - 1 month ago
Good quality and value, bearing in mind the competitive price point. Those idiot reviewers who complain these flicker when used with a dimmer switch really should read the instructions - they are NOT designed to be operated via a dimmer switch and doing so will not only make them flicker but probably also reduce the lifespan considerably. Instead, installed correctly, using a normal light switch, the dimming function is activated by simply switching it on and off to cycle between the pre-set intensities. Installed this way they will almost certainly be reliable and flicker free. I'm gradually upgrading all my home lighting to LED and this is the 7th B&Q fitting I've fitted without any issues - and backed up with 5yr guarantees I don't expect any problems for the foreseeable future. Buy with confidence.
