Not a good experience

I bought this product recently, on first use started on a window sill, then after some difficulty trying to change the attachment realised it Had welded onto the metal of the gun. I Persisted as was powerful and Doing a good job but then power setting Became temperamental started to change from low to high on it’s own. Returned to b n q without problem. I’m not an expert but the gun seems fairly cheap so maybe that’s why.
Good value for money

Done a great job removing years of paint from my porch. The metal attachments are very feeble, they easily bent when used. I then used my own scraper, hence why i only gave it 4 stars. The gun is excellent though.

After using this heat gun for almost 8 hours none stop, to remove three layers of old paint on wooden garage doors and frames. I found it light weight and very powerful when needed.
Excellent for the price
Nice looks, terrible performance

I bought one of these a few weeks back to tackle a dining room project. First impressions were good, the unit is quite solid and the rubber grips make it comfortable to hold. The flexible mains cable is a generous length making it easy to use when sockets are away from the workspace. It worked well for a while, the high heat setting easily softened some very old paint.
However after completing a few skirting boards the heating element failed meaning all I now had was a fancy hairdryer. Local store wouldn't replace as I'd chucked the receipt after a car clearout. This caused a big delay in my project, not happy.
Don't buy this junk, save your money and get one of the proper branded ones.
so many uses

We bought this heat gun on the advice of a friend to repair a plastic car bumper that was 'creased' in a minor prang. Within 5 minutes, it just popped back into place, we were so impressed. We have since found so many other uses for it, stripping paint in particular. Just a very light, easy to use, useful little tool to have in your tool box.
