We bought this heat gun on the advice of a friend to repair a plastic car bumper that was 'creased' in a minor prang. Within 5 minutes, it just popped back into place, we were so impressed. We have since found so many other uses for it, stripping paint in particular. Just a very light, easy to use, useful little tool to have in your tool box.

Good value for money...

Easy to use, although I did buy a better quality shavehook than the one included in the box. Heats up quickly and took three layers of gloss paint off my garage doors without any difficulty. Good value for money.

Brilliant wee tool

Doesn't remove varnish easily and is only slightly better on paint.
You have to hold the nozzle very close to the surface to be stripped in order for it to work and then it takes a good few seconds before you can scrape the paint/ varnish off and also means that you can remove about 3 or 4 square inches at a time.
