Brilliant stuff, using on stairs and door hinges, better than drippy Nitro Mors.

This works well, and doesn't mark the wood, which is a big bonus. Buy you need to leave it a long time to work its way through the layers. Preferably with clingfilm covering it (especially if it is an outside job) to keep it wet and active. I had to apply 4 thick, THICK coats to get down to the wood. And for any newcomer to the process, I cannot emphasise strongly enough how thick you need to apply this stuff. Get it on as thick as you can, cover it with clingfilm and come back to it tomorrow. And use a shavehook. One tub won't go far. But it is the best of the bunch in my opinion (working on outside windows, painted with a water-based paint). Just in case you have to decide between this and another product called Owatrol, avoid that one like the plague. It will destroy your wood with greasy black staining that simply cannot be removed.
Really good stuff

I have used it to strip my stairs which had 350 years of dirt and glass on them.
Was a bit sceptical about the reviews but put this on waited two hours and the whole thing peeled off! Really good, a must buy.
I like it

Great if only removing a couple of layers

Easy to apply and remove, does work within 20 mins but only removes first layer, had to apply at least 3 coats and not completely removed in all places, but overall better than same similar products
